A Little Backstory

This stadium opened its doors for the first time back in 1957, in the Les Corts district in Barcelona, Spain. It is the venue with the largest capacity in the entire European continent, and the fifth in the world. Originally, it was made for around 93.000 people to fit in, but due to further renovations, its capacity grew to a maximum of 120.000 viewers in 1982. Twelve years later, in 1994, and still up to these days, the number of seats had to be reduced due to new regulations, so right now it can hold up to 100.000 individuals.
