DÉNIA

An iconic picture of Dénia is the Muslim castle located on the top of a big rock, from where there is a great view over the whole city. A long coastline with white beaches, as well as rocky and rougher beaches offering its visitors a diversified experience. Dénia was formerly dedicated to the goddess Diana by the Romans and famous for its raisin growing industry.
Half way between Alicante and Valencia, this city is very much worth a stopover, to enjoy the beaches and some culinary highlights. Daily ferries depart to Ibiza and the other Balearic Islands, for those who want to escape the mainland for a holiday.
